GENERAL INFO:

On this fascinating 2,900 km (1,800 miles) trip, we travel through the states of Ceará, Pernambuco, and Bahia, covering two of the main inland Brazilian biomes: the Caatinga and the Cerrado. The Caatinga is an exclusively Brazilian biome, loaded with biodiversity that cannot be found anywhere else on the planet, including several unique bird species. It is the largest nucleus of seasonally dry tropical forest in the neotropic and is considered a center of endemism for South American birds. The Cerrado, known as the world’s most biodiverse savanna, spans a vast area of 2 million square kilometers, making it the most extensive vegetation formation on the South American continent
